Faith & Resistance June 2019

Discovering a God who Hungers for Justice

A Weekend at the Catholic Worker Farm , led by the Pax Christi, Faith and Resistance Network and FaithJustice.

Friday 28th – Sunday 30th June 2019

We invite you to join us for a weekend of prayer, bible study, discussion, community and an exploration of Christian responses to the Arms Trade and Militarism.

The international arms trade is a multi billion pound industry. Our politicians tell us that it is an essential part of our economy, and of our national security. But around the world this trade is fuelling war, harming the environment, and channelling money away from more productive industries.

  • During the weekend we will reflect deeply on our response to the Arms Trade.
  • We will hear the stories of victim of war and confict,
  • We will look to the bible and to Christian teaching for deep wisdom on how to respond to violence.
  • We will hear stories from those who have struggled to challenge the arms trade and militarism.
  • We will discuss and share our own thoughts, ideas, anxieties and concerns.

On the Sunday there will be a Catholic Mass celebrating the feast of Ss. Peter and Paul.
